Bengal Tiger

This is my most recent drawing, copied [NOT traced] from a tiger calendar. I think the hardest part was getting the proportion right. I tried to draw it as I usually would, just copying by sight. That didn't work so I turned both my paper and picture around so they were upside-down [like the top was faceing me]. Then I copied [NOT traced]. It worked out really nicely, I think.

This is the first cat that I've ever drawn that actually turned out OK. I was really surprised. I almost always use pencil for my artwork, as I did for this one. Do you ever wonder how you would feel if you woke up in the morning and realized that life really didn't mean anything at all? Or what would happen if you couldn't remember who you were?...

I've named this horse Amberetta, which means "beautiful jewel". This is one of my best drawings of a horse, although my scanner makes all of the shading a bit choppy. The legs were really hard to do, and as you can see, they are still a little off. Oh, well. As Aslan (from 'The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe') would say, "What's done is done." My mom wants me to try to sell some of my drawings at a local cafe, but I really don't think I am ready. My drawings aren't good enough yet. >sigh< Maybe in ten years. Or fifteen. Or fifteen thousand.
